Champions League XC returns in 2027 with six franchises, a seeding race, a team braai and four race days. Registration opens on 1 November with a R500 deposit per athlete.
Registration for the 2027 Champions League XC season opens on 1 November 2026. Boys and girls from U7 to U19 can enter, and every athlete races for one of six franchises: Eagles, Kudus, Mavericks, Pythons, Rhinos and Stallions.
A R500 deposit per athlete secures a place when you register. The balance is due by 15 March 2027, and the full season fee will be confirmed before then. One payment covers all the children a parent registers.
The 2027 calendar: seeding race on 11 April, team braai on 25 April, Stage 1 on 9 May, Stage 2 on 16 May, Stage 3 on 30 May and Stage 4, Finals Day, on 6 June. Venues in Gauteng are announced before each race.
Athletes who raced in 2026 keep one profile. Their 2026 results, race photos and replays stay on it, and the 2027 season is added alongside.
Every race is again broadcast live with commentary and kept as a replay, and race photos are tagged by face recognition so families can find their child.
