2026 Season Review: Eagles Crowned, 24 Yellow Jerseys Decided

The first Champions League XC season ended at Curro Serengeti with the Eagles crowned franchise champions on 1 455 points, ahead of the Pythons and Rhinos.

319 athletes from U7 to U19 raced the first Champions League XC season across four race days in Gauteng: the Sprint at Pinnacle College in Benoni, the Challenge on the trails at Prime View in Olifantsfontein, the Classic at Curro Sagewood in Midrand and the team relays at Curro Serengeti in Kempton Park.

The Eagles won the franchise title with 1 455 points, lowest total wins. The Pythons finished second on 1 481 and the Rhinos third on 1 763, ahead of the Mavericks (1 793), Stallions (1 806) and Kudus (1 851).

Twenty-four Yellow Jerseys were awarded, one per age group for boys and girls, for the fastest cumulative time over the three individual stages. The Pythons claimed eight of them.

Every race was broadcast live and is available as a replay, and more than 17 000 race photos were published with face-recognition tagging.

Registration for the 2027 season opens on 1 November.
